The central theme to The Chronicles of Enoch is this;
"What if all the stories were true and, to complicate matters, also lies?"
Well, that is where it gets complicated.
A great author used to say "a lie can run around the world before the truth can get his boots on" and he was right. A story can travel the world and be told over and over but it does so by ebing entertaining and entertaining does not necessarily mean truthful. As humans we like to invent and this is not only applied to the creation of more fiendishly cruel weapons of war.
It applies to stories too.
Just like the saying "no plan can survive first contact with the enemy" is very accurate, so too is the saying "no truth in stories can survive first contact with the audience".
